Annie Doble first opened her store, Annie’s Ibiza, back in 2018. With A-list celebrity clientele like Paris Hilton, Cara Delevine, and Kate Moss, her store has become the best kept fashion secret. Ibiza being an international hotspot, it was the best place for her to network and build her reputation.
Born and raised in England, Doble first began selling pre-loved items in her teenage years on eBay. Eventually she would open up a stall at Spitalfields market, where she was determined and showed a lot of patience when days would go by without any sales.
It was in her early twenties when she went to Ibiza for the first time and knew it was the place to be. Being an holiday and party destination, it was a great spot to attract international customers.
The store is filled with outfits from your wildest dreams. Doble is a talented curator, finding the rarest of vintage pieces. She’s not just finding and selling little outfits from the 1980s and 90s, but costumes from Hollywood’s golden age in the 1950s and even items from the Ottoman Empire in the 1800s.
Doble’s business success is due to her privacy and lack of press. Like that of the Olsen Twins with their world renowned fashion brand The Row, Doble has done the same by keeping her publicity by word of mouth. Being a best known secret has been able to draw the attention of the international elite.
In fall 2020, Annie’s Ibiza opened its second location in London Soho, where she has continued to find success.
Doble debuted her first in-house collection at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 23. A dance floor inspired collection was well received. Doble said her collection was inspired by all the vintage treasures she’s sourced through the years, and even took inspiration from Lila Moss for one of her dresses. Supermodel Kate Moss and her daughter, Lila, are clients and good friends of Doble.
Her second collection “Ethereal”, showcased at London Fashion Week in September 2023. Her inspiration this time came from her love for nature, spiders and bumblebees. As she is conscious about the environment and wants to make a change in the industry, her designs were hand embroidered on dead-stock fabrics. According to her Instagram, the show’s proceeds of profits were to go to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, a “charity dedicated wholly to saving the UK’s bumblebees”.
Continuing to support environmental change, Doble is an ambassador for Project Zero. The non-profit organization works to change and save our oceans by setting up a global network of sanctuaries. “Like national parks in the ocean” these sanctuaries are places where no one is allowed to drill, mine, fish or pollute. This allows the area to regenerate to its natural state, absorbing carbon-dioxide and creating oxygen. Other ambassadors alongside Doble include Alana Hadid and HRH Princess Eugenie of York.
With all the international success that she’s accomplished within a short time, we look forward to what Doble’s next move is.
